Bernie Sanders Supporters Divide Democratic Party?

Per Western Journalism:

The website FiveThrityEight analyzed a recent Pew Research Center poll in the context of other polling done for the 2016 election and found that neither candidate is attracting young voters.

The most recent Pew poll shows Democrat Hillary Clinton leading Republican Donald Trump 38 percent – 27 percent among under-30 voters. When FiveThirtyEight averaged some recent polls, it found that Clinton averaged 41 percent support among under-30 voters compared with 20 percent support for Trump.

However, third-party candidates scored higher among younger voters than with the electorate overall.

Libertarian Gary Johnson received the support of 17 percent of under-30 voters while Green Party candidate Jill Stein was at 10 percent. Both numbers are several percentage points higher than most national polling. In fact, Stein’s numbers among younger voters are roughly double her numbers among all voters.

FiveThirtyEight analyzed Clinton’s 21-point lead over Trump among younger voters and found that it pales by comparison with the showing of President Barack Obama.

This is very interesting. A big part of the Democratic Party controlling The White House is based on dominating the younger demographic. Bernie Sanders supporters may have divided the party due to their strong allegiance to him.
